ELCID offers such support as specialist advice, workshops and seminars, contacts and networking opportunities.
ELCID helps small creative businesses apply for funding.
ELCID manages a Creative Directory of creative talent in East Lancashire, ranging from freelance artists to recording studios.
ELCID supports creativityworks, a website for creative people in East Lancashire featuring news, courses, funding information, business opportunities and industry links.
ELCID is not about arts or creative training or content. It is not in a position to judge the artistic quality or integrity of a business or its products or to advise thereon. ELCID is about business support.
Does ELCID provide funding for small businesses?
No, not directly. However, it does provide funding indirectly through a range of activities such as specialist business advice, networking opportunities and workshops. It also provides advice on grants and funding opportunities available to creative businesses.
Who qualifies to get help from ELCID?
Any small or medium creative business, or freelancer, whether new or established, qualifies for support as long as it operates in one of the East Lancashire boroughs of Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Ribble Valley and Rossendale.
Hyndburn Enterprise Trust manages ELCID on behalf of CEA (the Consortium of Enterprise Agencies). However, please note that you do not need to be based in Hyndburn to qualify for ELCID’s support.
